During the 19th century California is occupied by the
Yankee troops. The population is hostile but is oppressed
by a crooked colonel, who is in charge of the occupation army.
A mysterious man, clad in black with his face hidden by
a mask, makes an appearance to avenge the Californians against this injustice and brutality.
No one knows his identity of this hero. His compatriots
have given him a nickname: Zorro.
