The big racing event of the year in France for tens of thousands of motor-bike riders and fans is “Le Bol”. The cameras take us to this race meeting, to a rock’n’roll baskground with a refrain. Bertrand was one of these lucky spectators. In the little garage where he works as a mechanic, he dreams about riding in the race himself one day and looks forward to getting on his “650” when he leaves work. But times are hard and Bertrand, who has his mother and sister to look after, will soon be out of work and will have to sell his bike. Fortunately, he has his pals, who love speed on two-wheels. Thanks to Mr Ambrosio, Bertrand learns to love life again until the day he becomes the equal of his idols.
